TRANSMISSION WINDOW DEFENCE FILM

"Cyber-attack has been highlighted as one of the greatest threats to national security, and customers look to security experts to provide them with the latest technology and services to keep their assets and information secure."

Foreign & Commonwealth Office, July 2011

Acknowledging the need for privacy and protection from electronic eavesdropping, we are pleased to announce a new product Transmission Window Defence Film which provides a Secure Work Environment solution for sensitive information locations, i.e. boardrooms, executive offices, homes and autos, etc

FIRST LEVEL DEFENCE

  • Glazing – Signal Defence Full spectrum Window Protection (RF, IR, Blast, Spall & UV)
  • IR Transmission
  • RF protection to an average 46dB between test frequency range 30Mhz and 6Ghz – TSCM/Eavesdropping Protection, RF Sheltering for Equipment and Personnel
  • Blast protection to GSA level 3b 6psi with 42 psi-mili second impulse (achieved level 3b 12.8 psi with 63.8 psi-mili second impulse when anchoring system applied; wet glazed silicone base). BS EN 12600 Class 1B1- Blast

INDUCED GLASS FRAGMENTATION SPALL SHIELD

  • VLT 53 – 70% (visible light transmission) – Clear and Non Reflective
  • UV Transmission
  • Shading Coefficient 0.32 – Solar Control AC Energy Reduction
  • Solar Heat Gain Coefficient 0.27 – Solar Control AC Energy Reduction
  • TSER 70% (total solar energy reduction) – Solar Control AC Energy Reduction
  • Walls Ceilings Floors – Signal Defence Aluminium cladding (RF)
  • Polyester mesh inter layer encapsulated between two layers of Aluminium cladding. Designed to 'tank' walls and ceilings to stop RF leakage through substrates other than glazed areas. Foil is intended to be adhesive applied and over-layered by plasterboard, carpet, ceiling tiles, etc. Test data shows an average of

THIRD LEVEL DEFENCE

  • SWE as defined as both active and passive EMSEC with priority for RF assessment, followed by countermeasures defined by assessment
  • Pro-active forms of assessment on specific working areas and procedures. This assesses where and how the electronic dangers occur and then go about solving the issues.

BACKGROUND

  • To date, significant funding has been spent on both Physical and IT security
  • Fastest growing technology is wireless based, i.e., smart phones, laptops, iPads therefore important information is riding the wireless airwaves un-secured
  • The "wireless" component of these technologies are NOT addressed by physical or IT security controls (term coined are Secure Work Environments “SWE” and Emission Security “EMSEC”)
  • Early EMSEC adopters (within the last 10 years) include Defence and Intelligence agencies in the US, Canadian, New Zealand and more recently major petroleum and financial organizations

THREATS

  • All the vulnerabilities associated with wireless technology including covert cell phone manipulation, Wi-Fi signal access, self-inflicted RF flood attacks, and of course more advanced TSCM related (bugs)
  • LASER microphone have made significant advancements (covert, line of sight at greater distances)
  • The THREATS are moving…as IT has been secured….as physical is secured…access to wireless is becoming the path of least resistance and virtually no forensics especially with passive techniques
