COMET is an upgraded design of Camera Lens Detector designed and manufactured by ourselves.
Red is commonly used by many of these devices but when the target lens has a degree of IR filtering this can reduce the reflection of the lens.
Adding Green increases the detection probability.Our unique feature is the addition of Blue. This colour occupies a significant bandwidth in the light spectrum, almost equal to Red and Green put together. Thus, COMET has an increased capability to overcome defenses.
The superb Pentax optics result in a field of view (FOV) as a result of the diameter of the Objective Lens, in this case 21 mm. We have chosen LEDs to match this FOV, resulting in maximum efficiency. Light is concentrated in the FOV, nothing wasted.
We drive the LED’s over two times brighter than most of other detectors on the market, hence we have doubled the capacity of the battery. There is also a mechanical On/Off switch, so when the COMET is switched off there is absolutely no current drain on the battery. Charging is via a USB C connector, 5 volts.
The 6.5 times magnification will focus down to 0.5 meters and with this matched LED array with solid alloy construction results in the optimum light weight rugged construction. The unit is supplied in a military standard transport case.
